পরিচয়ঃ অপর নাম হিং বা ফেরুলা পার্সিকা।ইহা একটি এন্টিসিফিলিটিক ও এন্টিসাইকোটিক ঔষধ।

ধাতুগত বৈশিষ্ট্যঃ স্নায়বিক ও হিষ্টিরিয়াগ্রস্ত নারীর পক্ষে বিশেষ উপযোগী। রোগীণিকে বেশ মোটাসোটা দেখায়। ইহার রোগীকে দেখিয়া রোগী বলিয়া মনে হয় না; একজন সুস্থ মানুষের মত দেখায়।

ক্রিয়ানাশক খাদ্য: কফি, কর্পূর ।

ক্রিয়ানাশকঃ চায়না, মার্কিউরি।

মায়াজমেটিক অবস্থাঃ (মায়াজমের দোষ নষ্ট করার শক্তি)

এন্টিসিফিলিটিক ও এন্টিসাইকোটিক ঔষধ।

মূল কথাঃ

• অসুস্থতা কেহ বিশ্বাস করিতে চাহে না, কেননা শারীরিক  দিকটা ভাল মনে হয়।
• মুখখানি একটু নীলাভ এবং দেহের ক্ষত কালবর্ণের বা নীলবর্ণের ।
• প্রাকৃতিক নিম্নাভিমুখি গতিটির পরিবর্তে প্রাকৃতিক গতিটি উর্ধ্বাভিমুখি;
• সকল ক্ষত এবং সকল স্রাব অত্যন্ত দুর্গন্ধযুক্ত।
• অতিশয় অসহিষ্ণুতা, অস্থির ভাব, মুক্ত বাতাসে প্রবৃত্তি, রুদ্ধ ঘরে অনভিলাষ, তাপে অনিচ্ছা;
• কাশি রাতে বৃ্দ্ধি।
• সঙ্গম করিতে গেলে হাঁপানি ।
• গলার মধ্যে ঢেলার মত অনুভূতি।
• গর্ভবতী না হইয়াও স্তনে দুধ।
• প্রসুতিদের দুধের অভাবে স্তন স্পর্শকাতর হইয়া উঠে।
• বাত ও শাথ বাতে বৃদ্ধি, আহারের পর বৃদ্ধি। মুক্ত বাতাসে উপশম।
• শরীরের স্রাব বাধাপ্রাপ্ত হইয়া হিস্টিরিয়া।
• পেট বায়ুপূর্ণ হইয়া জয়ঢাকের মত ফুলিয়া উঠে।
• বুকের মধ্যে চাপবোধ এত যে নিঃশ্বাস লইতে কষ্ট।
• অতিরিক্ত ক্ষুধা অথচ খাদ্যে অরুচি।
• সহবাসের পর অজ্ঞানভাব।

 

ব্যবহারস্থলঃ অস্থির বিকৃতি, আঙ্গুল হাড়া, পারদের অপব্যবহার, উপদংশ, নানাবিধ ক্ষত, হাঁপানী, হৃদযন্ত্রের পীড়া, অজীর্ণ, মূর্চ্ছাবায়ু, স্তন বিকৃতি হইয়া পীড়া, স্নায়ু শূল, উদারাময়, মেদবৃদ্ধি প্রভৃতি পীড়ায় উপযোগী।পাকাশয়ে বায়ুসঞ্চয় এবং পাকস্থলীর ও অন্ননলীর আক্ষেপিক সঙ্কোচন এবং তৎসহ বিপরীত ধমন ক্রিয়াই হইল এই ঔষধের প্রধানতম বৈশিষ্ট্যপূর্ণ লক্ষণ।

 

বিপরীত ধমনক্রিযা বা reverse peristalsis.
কার্বোভেজের পেট ফাঁপা সাধারণত উপরের পেটে; নিম্ন পেটের ফাঁপায় লাইকোপোডিয়াম এবং সমস্ত পেটের ফাঁপায় চায়না ফলপ্রদ।উদরাময়ের সহিত পেট ফাঁপায় কার্বোভেজ, কোষ্ঠকাঠিন্য-এর সাথে পেট ফাঁপায় লাইকোপোডিয়াম, পেটে অত্যধিক বায়ু জমিলে অ্যাসাফিটিডা, পেটে বায়ু উর্দ্ধ বা নিম্নদিকে নির্গত না হইলে র্যা ফেনাস ভাল কাজ করে।

 

উপশম/হ্রাসঃ মুক্তবাতাসে, নড়াচড়ায়, চাপনে, নখ দিয়া আঁচড়াইলে (চর্মরোগ) উপশম।

 

বৃদ্ধিঃ চর্মরোগ চাপা পড়িলে, ঘরের মধ্যে, খাইবার পর, পান করিবার পর, স্পর্শে, বসিলে, রাত্রে, বামদিকে, গরম সেঁকে বৃদ্ধি।

 

ক্রিয়া স্থিতিকালঃ ২০-৪০ দিন।

(ASAFOETIDA)

 

• The flatulence and spasmodic contraction of stomach and oesophagus with reverse peristalsis are the most marked symptoms.
• In its selection, its relation to the hysterical and hypochondriacal patients, must be borne in mind.
• Besides these superficial symptoms, it has been found to affect favorably deep ulcerations, caries of bones, especially in the syphilitic organism; here the extreme sensitiveness and terrible throbbing, nightly pains, guiding to its use.

 

 

Head

• Irritable; complains of her troubles; sensitive.
• Boring above eyebrows.
• Pressive pain from within outward.

 

 

Eyes

• Orbital neuralgia; better, pressure and rest.
• Iritis and intraocular inflammations, with boring, throbbing pains at night.
• Stitches under left frontal eminences.
• Boring pains in and around eyes.
• Syphilitic iritis.
• Superficial corneal ulcer with digging pains; worse at night.

 

 

Ears:

• Offensive otorrhoea, with boring pains in mastoid bone.
• Mastoid disease with pain in temporal region with pushing out sensation.
• Offensive, purulent discharge.

 

 

Nose:

• Syphilitic ozaena, with very offensive purulent discharge.
• Caries of nasal bones (Aurum).

 

 

Throat:

• Globus hystericus.
• Ball rises in throat.
• Sensation as if peristaltic motion were reversed, and oesophagus were driven from stomach to throat.

 

 

Stomach:

• Great difficulty in bringing up wind.
• Flatulence and regurgitation of liquid.
• Hysterical flatulence.
• Great distention.
• Sensation of emptiness and weakness, with distention and beating in stomach and abdomen.
• Forcible eructation of gas.
• Pulsation in pit of stomach.
• Violent gastralgia; cutting and burning in stomach and region of diaphragm.
• Gurgling and rolling of wind, which escapes afterwards with loud and difficult eructation.

 

 

Female:

• Mammae turgid with milk in the unimpregnated.
• Deficient milk, with oversensitiveness.

 

 

Rectum:

• Distended, griping, with hunger.
• Obstinate constipation.
• Pain in perineum, as if something dull pressed out.
• Diarrhoea, extremely offensive, with meteorism, and regurgitation of food.

 

Chest:

• Spasmodic tightness, as if lungs could not be fully expanded.
• Palpitation more like a tremor.

 

 

Bones:

• Darting pain and caries in bones.
• Periosteum painful, swollen, enlarged.
• Ulcers affecting bones; thin, ichorous pus.

 

 

Skin:

• Itching, better scratching; ulcers painful on edges.
• Suppressed skin symptoms produce nervous disorders.

 

 

Modalities:

• Worse, at night; from tough; left side, during rest, warm applications.
• Better, open air; from motion, pressure.

 

 

Relationship:

• Antidotes: China; Mercur.
• Compare: Moschus; China; Mercur; Aurum.

 

 

Dose:

Second to sixth potency.

General Characteristics--A very great sensitiveness, hypersensitiveness, particularly of those in whom the venous system preponderates over the arterial; very weakly and delicate persons. It affects the left hypochondriac region; left side of the abdomen; left side of the neck, and nape of the neck: left upper extremity and left lower extremity; left ear; general symptoms left side.

Mental.--Dissatisfied with one's self; complaints about one's troubles.

Head.--Inner semi-lateral, on either side, but generally on the left. Heaviness and pressure in the forehead and right half of the head.

Ears.--Fetid or purulent discharge; badly smelling.

Nose.--Ozæna with discharge of green fetid pus.

Throat.--Pressure in œsophagus as if a body were ascending, obliging one to swallow frequently; globus hystericus.

Stomach.--Fatty taste. Rising in the throat. Loathing; inclination to vomit; pressure in from below upwards into the œsophagus; pulsations in the pit of the stomach, perceptible to the hand and eye even.

Abdomen.--Heaviness in; stitches; lancinations; dartings; bloated. Flatus very offensive. Sensation as if peristaltic motion were taking place from below upwards. Inner region of the spleen.

Stool.--Stool stinking; slow; difficult; hard. Diarrhœa of most disgusting odor. Fetid flatus.

Sexual.--Female: Labor-like pains in the uterus, of cutting and bearing down character. Deficiency of milk. Nipples.

Urine.--Urine smells like Ammonia.

Bones.--Bones of the arm; sensation as if bones were bending; darting pain in; caries in; caries of the periosteum; painfulness in; painfulness of the periosteum, accompanied with great sensitiveness; enlargement of; softening or swelling of; swelling of the periosteum.

Skin.--Itching, better by scratching; pricking, burning skin. Ulcers in general; hard on circumference; with bloody pus; with thin pus; painful ulcers; painful on the edges; sensitive on the circumference, with high, hard edges; prickings on circumference.

Sensations.--Big toe. Pain, jerking in outer parts particularly; pressing from within outwards; darting in outer parts, in inner parts, from within outward; in the muscles; burning darting in the muscles; quivering in the external parts; tension in inner parts; in right side of back, near scapula. Intermittent, pulsative, oppressive, darting, also tearing pains, from within outwards; often relieved by scratching or rubbing.

Generalities.--Asthma of different kinds. Old ulcers on forearm, wrist, hand; ulcers, especially when affecting the bones; thin ichorous pus.

Better.--From scratching; from being touched.

Remedies to follow: China, Mercur., Pulsat.

Antidotes:--China, Mercur.
