যক্ষ্মা রোগের চিকিৎসা (Tuberculosis)

যক্ষ্মা একটি সংক্রামক ব্যাধি, যা প্রধানত ফুসফুসকে আক্রান্ত  করে। তবে ফুসফুস ছাড়া ও শরীরের অন্যত্র যক্ষ্মা হতে পারে। যেমন : লসিকাগ্রন্থি, হাড় ও গিট, অন্ত্র, হৃৎপিণ্ডের আবরণ ও মস্তিষ্কের আবরণ  (মেনিনজেস) ইত্যাদিতেও যক্ষ্মা হতে পারে। যক্ষ্মা রোগের চিকিৎসা সংক্রান্ত যাবতীয় তথ্য জানতে সম্পূর্ণ আর্টিকেলটি পড়ুন।

কারণ (Cause):

যক্ষ্মা রোগের জন্য দায়ী জীবাণুটির নাম ’মাইকোব্যাকটেরিয়াম টিউবারকিউলোসিস’’ (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) । এটি এক প্রকার ব্যাকটেরিয়া । এ জীবাণু যক্ষ্মা রোগীর কফের সাথে বের হয়ে আসে এবং বাতাসের মাধ্যমে অন্য লোকের ফুসফুসে প্রবেশ করে রোগের সৃষ্টি করে। অনেক সময় যক্ষ্মা জীবাণু আক্রান্ত গরুর কাঁচা দুধের মাধ্যমে মানুষের শরীরে প্রবেশ করে। তাই কাঁচা দুধ পান করা নিরাপদ নয় । যক্ষ্মা যে কোন বয়সে হতে পারে। অপুষ্টি এবং ঘনবসতিপূর্ণ বাসস্থান রোগ বিস্তারে সহায়তা করে।

উপসর্গ ও লক্ষণ (Symptom & Sign):

• ১) রোগী দীর্ঘদিন যাবত খুসখুসে কাশিতে ভুগতে থাকে ।
• ২) ধীরে ধীরে ক্ষুধামন্দা, ওজন কমে যাওয়া ও সন্ধ্যার দিকে অল্প অল্প জ্বর হতে থাকা ।
• ৩) ঠিক মতো চিকিৎসা না হলে শেষের দিকে কাশের সাথে রক্ত যাওয়া, ফুসফুসে পানি জমা, শ্বাসকষ্ট, বুকে ব্যথা ইত্যাদি নানা ধরনের উপসর্গ দেখা দিতে পারে ।
• ৪) শিশুদের ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত জ্বর আসা, খাওয়ার অরুচি, ওজন কমে যাওয়া এসব লক্ষণ দেখা যায় । খুব কম শিশুরই কাশির সাথে রক্ত যায়।
• ৫) দীর্ঘদিন স্থায়ী গলা ভাঙ্গা বা স্বর বসে যাওয়াও যক্ষ্মা রোগের লক্ষণ হতে পারে।

রোগ নির্ণয় (Dignosis):

যক্ষ্মা রোগের লক্ষণ ও উপসর্গগুলো কারো দেখা গেলে এবং তার আশেপাশে আক্রান্ত রোগী থাকলে তা থেকে যক্ষ্মা হয়েছে বলে সন্দেহ করা যেতে পারে । এ অবস্থায় রোগীর কতগুলো পরীক্ষা নিরীক্ষা করতে হবে । এগুলো হচ্ছে-

১) বুকের এক্স-রে, (২) রোগীর কফ পরীক্ষা, (৩) রোগীর রক্ত পরীক্ষা

কফের পরীক্ষা সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ । কারণ কফের মধ্যে যক্ষ্মা রোগের জীবাণু পাওয়া গেলে তা এ রোগের প্রত্যক্ষ প্রমাণ । যে লোকের কাশি তিন সপ্তাহের বেশী স্থায়ী তার বুকের ভেতরের কফ অবশ্যই পরীক্ষা করতে হবে । এছাড়া রোগীর বুকের এক্স-রে দেখেও যক্ষ্মা শনাক্ত করা সম্ভব ।
